What if we were missing out on the textile revolution?
On the occasion of the REF 2025 Days, our President and founder Philippe Duclos signed a paper in La Tribune. The paper highlights a key question: are we missing the opportunity for a genuine textile revolution?
Textile: Between sustainability, industry and uses
The textile sector is at the crossroads of three structuring issues for companies and regions:
- Environmental: the textile industry is one of the biggest consumers of water and generators of pollution. Innovations based on recycled, bio-sourced or local fibers offer a concrete response to sustainability imperatives.
- Industrial and economic: relocation and reindustrialization also require the transformation of strategic industries such as textiles. An opportunity for European and French sovereignty and competitiveness.
- Technological and societal: the textile revolution is not just a question of materials, but also of usage: new business models (second-hand, rental, recycling) and new consumer expectations.
Textiles, at the heart of the Balanced Organization
In his paper, Philippe Duclos calls for a collective wake-up call, to prevent Europe from missing out on this historic opportunity, to the benefit of other regions of the world that are quicker to invest in and structure these industries of the future.
At Antheus Advisors, we see these dynamics as emblematic of what we call the Amplified Organization:
- Capture opportunities for innovation and reindustrialization.
- Reduce environmental and social vulnerabilities.
- And make performance part of a sustainable, responsible approach.
In sharing this opinion, we are reaffirming our commitment to supporting leaders in the face of major economic, technological and ecological transitions.
